Property News | La Nave Muebles- An business opportunity for sale- with a world of opportunities!

Looking for an established business opportunity?

Here at Jacaranda Spain, we consider ourselves to be real estate agents and lifestyle promoters. Our clients are often looking to relocate to Spain to improve their lives with better weather and a more relaxed way of life. However, many of our clients are not only looking for a new home, but also a vocation and a means to make a prosperous living. All we can do is offer advice earned from years of experience. Occasionally we acquire commercial property and established businesses. On our portfolio right now, we have a business that is literally, up and running and ready to take over.

La Nave Muebles is a vintage furniture store. The current owners of this exciting new business accidentally acquired it in their search for a premises to set up offices and storage for their construction business. Pia and Kenny relocated to the Marina Alta three years ago from Denmark. They viewed the warehouse, realised it perfectly suited their requirements and signed on the dotted line. However, when they arrived to collect the keys, they realised it was chock full of antique furniture! The previous owner of the building apologised and, due to ill health, said they were unable to manage the clearing of the building, but asked if Pia and Kenny be good enough to get rid of everything. The new owners faced a dilemma- how could they throw away the stock when most of it was, not just viable, but in superb condition? The rest, as they say, is history. La Nave Muebles (the furniture warehouse) was born!

Pia and Kenny threw themselves into building this new and unexpected business venture. They both have experience in both the construction and interior design businesses and felt that it was meant to be:

We see immense value in giving a second life to solid, wooden furniture that stands the test of time so we invite you to come and explore, and hope that you find a piece that speaks to you.”

However, Pia was already at the helm of a budding innovation and transformation consultancy, Kenny had construction work to keep him busy for many months and they had opened an office workspace in the same location as La Nave Muebles. This new business needed true commitment and the commodity that they were very short on… TIME!

“We had to make some choices because you really can spread yourself too thin. "We can see the possibilities, but we also have our other ventures that we are passionate about! We relocated to Spain for a more relaxed lifestyle than we had back in Denmark and here we were with so much to do and so little time!” Ultimately, Kenny and Pia built a business that is now set up and ready for someone to devote care and attention to.

La Nave Muebles is established, ready to grow and the potential is obvious to anyone with an ounce of business acumen. Pia and Kenny are still giving it their all, because they want to nurture the business for someone else. They look forward to handing La Nave over and giving the new owners all their help and advice to make the transition smooth and successful.

If you are thinking of relocating to the area, or maybe you just feel like La Nave Muebles could be your new baby, this could be an opportunity that is perfect for you. La Nave has attracted customers from all over Spain and has lots of repeat customers who are spreading the word. If you regularly look at the Jacaranda Spain website, you will know that, here in the Marina Alta, property ranges from old “finca style” properties to modern, “Ibizan style” villas and “contemporary style”, luxury apartments. La Nave has the capacity to stock interior and exterior furnishings for every style of decor. The shop is currently located on the road between Jalón and Benissa, a road with a steady flow of traffic, easy to locate and park. The area, in the Vall de Pop, Marina Alta has long been a popular choice for expats from all over the world to buy permanent or second homes. It is also currently under development to build more houses. Furthermore, this business could easily be moved nearer to a big town or city to really open up the client base. Kenny and Pia are open to discussing options to tailor make this opportunity for the next owner.

The store is currently stocked with rustic and antique furniture including; wood cabinets, dressers, dining and coffee tables, chairs, trunks, chests and blanket boxes, display cases and bookshelves, pots and planters and all kinds of ornamental bric-a-brac.

Imagine, traveling around Spain searching for one off antiques for a wealthy client? Or meeting with new designers and developing a modern furniture range? Perhaps you are a furniture designer yourself and could see this as an outlet for your own exclusive collection? The possibilities are endless….
